I give notice that on the next day of sitting I shall move that –

The Senate-

  1. Notes that:
  2. a) New South Wales children from Aboriginal communities are being removed from their families at an unprecedented rate with more than 6,000 Aboriginal children, representing about one in 10 Aboriginal children, in out-of-home care in New South Wales;
  3. b) Grandmothers Against Removal, based in Gunnedah, was formed to highlight the process of removal used by the New South Wales Department of Children’s Services;
  4. c) Aboriginal children were forcibly removed from their home on 15 January 2014 in Moree by Community Services workers and police from the Operational Support  Group, who handcuffed the children’s parents;
  5. d) These Aboriginal children have been subsequently returned to their family home;
  6. e) The NSW government has failed to release film footage taken by the Operational Support Group inside the home of the children forcibly removed in Moree.
  1. Recognises that we all must do all in our power to stop the development of a new Stolen Generation.

  1. It’s time for all communities to unite against state driven social engineering which casts a irremovable shadow of pain on ALL children. Please learn more and stop the abuse because you understand, and you are part of humanity.

  2. So saddened by hearing that children are still being taken today. I perhaps naively thought we had moved on from those dark days. As a white Australian I feel so very sorry for the injustice your people still suffer daily.

  3. They stole my kids I did everything for them and they said my family can’t take them because they got mentally problems my education is not great but I’m still mum and take them to day care and feed them abd change them they told me ones they leave they will not bother me again then they came back and took my daughter then my son
